Schools still closed due to bushfire risk

Collinsvale Primary School and Molesworth Primary School will remain closed tomorrow (Friday 8 February) due to the current fire danger, Department of Education Deputy Secretary, Andrew Finch said today.

 The alternate schooling arrangements currently in place for parents who are unable to organise supervised care for their children tomorrow  (8 February) will continue.

Children attending Collinsvale Primary can attend Glenorchy Primary and Molesworth students can be dropped off at New Norfolk Primary, he said.
Staff from both schools are also requested to follow the same arrangements tomorrow.

Parents are reminded not to leave their children unsupervised a in their home, he said.

Mr Finch said that at this stage both schools are expected to re-open on Tuesday. (12 February).
